When she said this, it really got me thinking…

My little girl recently told me she loves summer because of “all the flowers, meeting cousins, going on holidays and having a little break from gymnastics .”

It got me thinking about what it is that I love about summer, and why…

☀️ The break from the everyday routine, it gives me space for spontaneity
☀️ The change and freedom I’ve gratefully created
☀️ Not having to leave the house by a certain time in the morning
☀️Being free to potter and lingering breakfast with my little people
☀️The flowers and flourishing green landscape, the connection with nature and the calm it creates
☀️ The playfulness and messiness of sticky-fingers from road side strawberry stops
☀️ The brighter early mornings, which speak to my inner morning person self – summer mornings are my thing.

What do you love about summer and why?
