Last week I was invited to join a panel discussion

Last week I was invited to join a panel discussion by Goodbody and THE GLOSS MAGAZINE at their 6th “In Women We Trust” event, where we shared thoughts on the future of women and AI, and insights on how women can invest in themselves in their career and in business.

It was an absolute pleasure to join the panel and hear more about Sinead Fitzmaurice FCA 🦄 and Caroline Dunlea 🌻 journeys.

Inspiring stories of spotting a gap in the market, tenacity and resilience, believing in the team and their commitment and the importance of keeping an open mind regarding fastmoving digital trends, and in particular AI.

Take aways particularly close to my heart:

🌟 Caring for your craft and taking care in your craft is key.

🌟 "What’s the worst that can happen?"
We all agreed what a great question this can be to ask yourself at certain times in career-life/ business-life. Such a powerful question. You can always have a back up plan, switch to Plan B, if Plan A doesn’t work out.

🌟 "We are all equal, everyone deserves to be in a room, always know that”. Sometimes we might need to remind ourselves of this.

🌟 You'll never regret investing in yourself personally, professional or in your future.

Sadie Chowen shared her story of The Burren Perfumery Ltd. The love, passion and care that goes into the perfumes is clear. Sadie’s authenticity really struck a cord with me, and how she has grown the business her own way and on her own terms, with bucket loads of heart.

Thank you Órla Tobin BBS QFA EFA SIA and to your all female wealth advisory team at Goodbody’s and your important female-focused 'Invest in You' initiative in THE GLOSS MAGAZINE dedicated to helping women sort out their finances. Absolute pleasure to meet Sarah McDonnell and Jane McDonnell.

Something special happens when women gather together in a room to celebrate female founders, female leadership and champion women in business and innovation.

We need to invest in life beyond what we are doing at work.

Now if only every Thursday could be as glam ❤️

Today I travelled to Dublin with 2 phenomenal ladi

Today I travelled to Dublin with 2 phenomenal ladies for the Network Ireland Awards final interviews. We were met by Cait our lovely branch president and Lucie our equally lovely VP. I’ve said it before - you cannot put a price on the value of support. When women support each other - magic happens. Network Kilkenny has given me such a boost and I’m feeling very proud to be a member and walk beside these inspiring women today. On a personal note, sometimes you have moments in life that feel ‘full circle’ and today was one of those. Walk your own walk - be your own trailblazer - smile while doing it and surround yourself with magical women. Our Pillars for 2025 are bravery - nurture - inclusion. What brave step are you committing to this week? How are you nurturing yourself and your relationships with others this week? How have you included yourself and others at the table this week?
